He might've scaped Gotham's police at the end of Dark Knight, but he was caught by the London police on charges of assault to his mother and sister. Actor Christian Bale was arrested today by London police. Here is the link by the AP.

My problem is that they only say he "Lashed out"... I've always felt that lashing out was more of a verbal type of thing... not physical. I'd like some more details please!

Sure sounds like a strange case and a very unwise move by Bale.

In a statement just released to TMZ, his reps say "Christian Bale attended a London police station today, on a voluntary basis, in order to assist with an allegation that had been made against him to the police by his mother and sister. Mr. Bale who denies the allegation, co-operated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and has left the station without any charge being made against him by the police. At this time, there will be no further comment by Mr. Bale."

TMZ also reports...

There are reports circulating that Christian Bale was arrested for verbal assault, and one of Bale's reps is echoing that.

Who knew, but we called around jolly old England and found there is such a thing as verbal assault, Class 4 and Class 5. Class 4 is more aggravated than 5, with "an intent to cause alarm."

So it doesn't look like a physical assault by any means, maybe things got heated verbally though.

I know in the State of Washington it is considered physical assault if you point your finger at someone in anger. I found this out when my x-wife was arrested for physical assault -- she was really drunk and threw a coffee table at me. I believe she still shops at Wal*mart, if that means anything.

This is from a gossip site but this guy usually gets his information right before posting...

Don't Blame Christian Bale

Christian is denying any wrongdoing.

Momma Jenny said, "Yes I was there and yes there was a family situation but the police are handling it and I cannot say anymore at the moment. We didn't call the police to the scene. I can't say anymore but we didn't call the police."

Mom and sis reportedly went to a police station in Hampshire to make the allegation, which was subsequently referred to the London's Metropolitan Police.

Sounds like some people were conspiring to us!

At the age of 17, Christian left his former circus clown and dancer mom and sisters in Wales to live with his animal/environmental activist dad in LA.

The senior Bale died from a brain tumor in December 2003 and Christian was at his bedside.

Since moving to LA he has only been back to Wales once.

Sounds like mom and son don't exactly have a close relationship to us!

But, in a previous interview, Jenny, the former clown, said her famous son had never shunned or snubbed her.

Did mom and sis go up to London from Wales to stir things up with Christian?

Maybe they were all at a Wal*mart. I know after I leave Wal*mart, I'm pretty much angry the rest of the day.

Especially if you go to the one over there on Stapley and Baseline (by your work). That has got to be one of the worst. I won't go to that one. The word "postal" comes to mind if I do.

I hear that Wolfen! That one is so ghetto considering most establishments around it are kind of nice. I mean, The AMC Theatre is a nice little area with junk food chains and Starbucks . . . but then there's Wal*mart! I was in there not too long ago to pick up some popsicles for work, not only was I angry when I left, I felt I needed a hot shower!

Where's Waldo? I think I spot Tim just behind the guy in the baseball cap.

Actually, these folks seem urbane, sophisticated, and well dressed compared to some of our California stores.

Mo' Money, Mo' Problems

by Ryan Porter
Christian Bale's alleged temper tantrum was triggered by his family asking for a six-figure loan.

The big Bale blowout this week was kicked off when Christian's mommy, Jenny, and sister, Louise, asked Christian to give Louise a $200,000 loan, the Sun of London reports.
