I just came across this post today:
http://www.superherohype.com/news/x-mennews.php?id=7532

It has a lot of info about the new Wolverine movie starring Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth), and even Ryan Reynolds as Dead Pool. Can't wait to see how they do the Blob... maybe they got Kirstie Alley?

The Blob will be a CGI rehash of Jabba the Hut (kidding).

I wonder where they're going to go with this Wolverine movie. Any idea on the story yet?

I think it's the early days where he, Creed, Silver Fox, and maybe Maverick were all a covert team together. I read a Wolverine novel many years ago and from what I read in that news post it seems to be going down that route.

Too bad about Kirstie Alley. She would have been perfect for the Blob, and it might have relaunched her career. Yes, I know that the Blob is supposed to be a guy, but that doesn't mean anything. Starbuck was a guy on the original Galactica, and I believe they initially planned to have Angel be female in X3 (glad they didn't stick to that idea, though).

Worst Pick for Sabretooth ever.

Can't be worse than the wrestler they had in X-Men. At least Schrieber can act, and he does have evil-looking eyes. Give him a chance, people said the same thing about Daniel Craig as the new Bond.

I thought Heath Ledger being cast as the Joker was an odd choice but man was I wrong about that one.

Liev IS a good actor. Let's give him a chance. Remember when Kelsey Grammer was cast as Beast in X-Men? People thought THAT was odd too.

Not in my opinion, but I'll see how he looks when he's all done up in make up. I personally never thought the casting of Grammar was weird, actually I thought he fit the beast character perfectly, as he's good at playing the intellectual. For me Schreiber leaves me cold, he's never had a performance in any movie I've seen him in I could think of as memorable. I don't dislike, I'm just sort of indifferent. I don't really have high expectations of this movie anyway after the disappointment that was X3.

Doesn't Sabretooth leave many of his victims cold?
