I think turning Jimi Love into a staff member has been awesome! I mean, I haven't seen a "spew salad" in a long time now! lol

Personally, I don't think I could stand watching Lost 1-3, with all its from the hip plot twists and inconsistencies. I know many may not agree, but for me, that show has completely lost its appeal.

IB,

be forewarned that a lot of eager beavers have come and gone as staff members. there are always plenty of people who offer to help with the site's behind-the-scenes housekeeping, but few have lasted more than a month. adding titles to the database is very time-intensive and tedious--not to mention not as "glorious" as writing reviews.

Yeah, where's the Club Med? Where's the Winnebago!?

All I remember from doing reviews is getting a free DVD and about 8hrs of work to follow, sometimes more! Thus the reason I never liked those two-disc special editions!

Well, I'm enjoying helping behind the scenes here. Since I'm not a film reviewer (or even desire to, really), I'd rather help in the adding of movie/disc/News database entries, so as to help provide some relief to the other talented DVDTOWN reviewers, since they must be 'timely' in the adding of reviews (so as to provide them during the week or so that surrounds a new significant release). Of course, the reviewers also take part in database entries, when they have the time, especially on titles being reviewed that are not yet in the database (and News stories too).

Now, as for the LOST Season 1-3 (my late May purchase from Amazon). The simple answer is NO, I never did begin watching the set - but here are the reasons why...> Not long after I picked up that special sale on the 3 seasons, I then became a volunteer with DVDTOWN. In addition to helping part time here, I also still rent DVDs and BD from my online rental queves (I have both a Netflix and Blockbuster account).

And then, a few times over the past month, I've heard some strong rumors that Disney is going to release these on BD - (Seasons 1 & 2 - #3 is already on BD) - likely by the end of this year, probably in time (or before) the December BD release of Season 4.

Now, when I decide to watch this program, I know it's only going to be a 1-time view, so I'd rather just rent the Season 1 - 4 BDs at a later date, so as to see it completely in HD. To me, time passes fast, and we'll see Season 1 & 2 on BD not too much further into the future (as studios are working to put out more and more BD releases), and I really don't mind waiting until then... so, I went ahead and sold my Seasons 1-3 SD-DVD package on Amazon recently (for just a little less than my original sale price).

I'm sure the wait will be worth it, so as to watch those shows completely in HD (and hour or two at a time over several months). So, there you have it regarding LOST.

StevePro, I checked out that movie you were talking about in another thread "the Perfect Creature". Can't say that I enjoyed it much.
