Yes, this is probably the best Stephen King book adapted for the screen.

Isn't this what Sony said when WB went their way: "Carry on, Blu-ray."

Good one John.

Have any here seen those 'lenticular' edition DVDs, with covers that have an alternating change of the image? > CLICK HERE for the Carrie Lenticular DVD (you'll notice that the 'before' shot is not Sissy Spacek, but some other female stand-in.

Also, here's one for The Amityville Horror > CLICK HERE

(page must fully load before you see the changing cover effects)

Fox and MGM are releasing some more in a few months, like for Species, Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), etc. Anything to influence a consumer's purchase consideration.

I can't wait to replace my DVD with this Blu-ray. I have the original DVD release, and it's one of the crappiest transfers in my collection.

that's funny, i recently rented the movie and watched it again.

I haven't seen the movie for a long time and i have to say i was impressed by de palma's camera work and choice of lighting. I say impressed because i usually don't like de palma.

What really got me thinking of updating to BLU though was the announcement of "One flew over the cuckoo's nest" being released on blu-ray. Great flick
