wolvinator,

Most of the sata drives are similar. There is a few that have little edges, and stuff you don't see until you try fitting it in. MS was pretty particular to the drives it put in. WD may make a cheaper one now. Norton Ghost is what I had available, but there is other cloning software that could do it as well. Go talk to your independent computer part dealer. The smucks at Best Buy, Future Shop, Circuit City, don't know shit. I'm still trying to find a fix for the MS block on CC material.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the Elite came out a little less than a year and a half ago which makes it impossible to be 3 years old. The original 360 hasn't even been out 3 years yet.

Thanks Reaggie, I will look into it as I am very familiar with computers(repair them for work).

Will they be selling the 60 gig drive separately? I'd like to upgrade from the 20 gig unit but the hard drive from the elite is a bit too pricey.

I'm not sure about that upconversion thing, but -as it turns out- there are ALREADY owners of the xbox 360 system, sportin' the 65nm cpu. Those that sent their system for replacement due to RROD... received (more than likely) a xbox 360 motherboard with the new 65nm cpu architecture.

The Opus also looks to be sporting the 65-nm CPU from the Falcon chipset due to the new-style heatsink mounted on chip. The Opus is, in essence, simply an HDMI-lacking Falcon chipset that'll fit in original Xbox 360 cases.

Actually people who bought Falcon 360s which came out in late 2007 have always had a 65nm CPU as well as a 80nm GPU. The old 360s had both a 90nm CPU and GPU. The 60gb 360s should have the new Jasper motherboard with a 65nm CPU and GPU.

I bought a Arcade a few months ago, and it is supporting the new chipset, and the HDMI output, even though it is only an arcade! Pulling it apart was the first thing I did!!!

ReaggieP, you were a very distructive kid when you were growing up I bet. You always posts some of the hacks you've discovered by pulling things apart. And I must say some are very good.
