Oscar movies. What/who got the shaft? What didn't? (In all areas of the award ceremony.) AKA. Best picture. Best Actor. Best Actress. Best supporting actor. Best supporting actress...in your opinion, what made you happy? What pissed you off?

"Annie Hall" over "Star Wars?" (for best picture)
"Shakespeare in Love" over "The Thin Red Line?" "Saving Private Ryan?"(best picture)
WHATEVER IT WAS over "Goodfellas?" (best picture acting director)
WHOEVER BEAT LEDGER over "Enis, Brokeback Mountain?" (best supporting actor)...

"dances with wolves" beat "goodfellas" for picture and director (i agree as scorsese is over-rated).

philip seymour hoffman won best actor over heath ledger for that year. out of the ones nominated, i would've gone with david strathairn ("good night, and good luck." ).

“Titanic” over “LA Confidential”? And I’m still pissed about “Annie Hall” over “Star Wars”! That one event is probably why I can’t stand Woody Allen.
