So Lucas is already thinking about another Indy film. Amazing what box office will do.

I think we're safe from seeing any more Indys.

It's good to know that if they do make a new one they won't just cut out Indie and replace him with Shia LeBoutch.

The filmmaker scoffed at the possibility of passing the famed fedora from Ford to Shia LaBeouf, the 22-year-old actor who played Indy's son Mutt Williams in this summer's "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."

That's the only good thing he said in that interview.

I Was VERY excited when indy 4 rumors started circulating around and followed that story as much as i could.
I won't do the same for the 5th one.

Crystal Skull was horrible. I would never forget "mutt" jumping from tree to tree like a monkey, or the ants climbing on each other to get to irina, or the god damn UFO flying off.

Why didn't they sat down and make it like they used to.

If a 5th one is to be produced, geroge lucas will have to stick away from providing the story, david koepp away from writing it and the whole thing has to be approved by the director (not ford, lucas AND spielberg).

Plus they have to hurry before all three of them go senile.

Indy haters, Indy 4 was a good movie and highly entertaining...and don't start with you criticizing Mutt having his Tarzan moment, because we've seem some more unrealistic moments (regardless of nuking the fridge) in many other movies...

Let Ford and Lucas and Spielberg do another Indy movie, with Mutt...

Yes, and jumping out of a plane in Indy 2 using an air raft to slide down a mountain side, and falling off an 800ft cliff no less, is way more acceptable. Watching people melt and fry to death from opening the ark in Indy 1 is in no way over-the-top. A burning plane passing through a tunnel in Indy 3 as father & son escape . . . yeah, it happens all the time! And let's not forget the assumed diet of people in India is bugs, snake surprise and chilled monkey brains.

Point here is ALL Indy films have excessive moments that are over the top. The whole idea is based off of old Saturday matinees which were all about fun, adventure and suspending reality. The Indy films pay homage to that theme and I don't see how Indy 4 was any different to that or any of its previous films. Giant red ants or a tomb full of deadly snakes -- take your pick because they're all over the top no matter how you cut it. Indy films are all about action and adventure which require the audience to suspend reality and enjoy the ride. IMO, I find a lot of the action sequencing in all the Indy films can be too long and tiresome, however that's the way they're supposed to be. Nevertheless, UFO's don't work and are not acceptable, but drinking from the wrong grail turning you to dust is much more believable.

Indy 4 was watchable. I can't say much more good about it, but that means it was a hell of a lot better than I expected it to be.
