Ok, so we are in the third week of release for TDK, and we all know what it has done and going to do in the records book. We have shared our views on this movie since it has opened. My comment is this, if you are a director, writer, producer whatever, you have to be thinking how in the world am I going to be able to top that movie. I am sure that happened with Titanic, but that movie was a little different. It did not smash any records at first, it was'nt until it had been released for a few weeks, word of mouth and then the academy nominations that it took off. And I am sure it was the same with any movie in the past that has achieved record status. But I think with TDK, well it is another ballgame. I mean wait until it is released on DVD, I can only imagine the records it will shatter there.
So I guess I am just trying to get a feel out there, what you think about my comment.

I'm sure WB is licking their lips just thinking about how much they will make this december. That being said its good to see a quality comic book movie being rewarded by ticket sales.

I said $525 million...but the way it looks, maybe $575 million as the final domestic gross...and it will be the most sold SD DVD and blu-ray disc to date, no doubt, with a double-dip on the way that includes the director's cut...
