Course we could argue the definition of "democracy". In all seriousness however, I so get and agree with your point. And I also understand that certain political/human rights groups have targeted this Olympics as an event they can get media attention over. Good or bad? I honestly can't judge at this point.

i'm not backtracking.

before anyone gets on a high horse to complain about china, sudan, russia, whatever, let's take a good look at what the "free world" is doing. why is it that no one in europe is condemning russia for its invasion of georgia? they're all too busy worrying about russia cutting off oil and gas supplies in the coming months (winter is just around the corner) to care about what happens to poor little georgia.

we're all guilty. it's easy being an internet critic. let's see some of the guys here actually do something about human-rights abuses around the world (including in the u.s., canada, and western europe).

I mutch rather watch WOMENS swimming over mens. I never really dug watching men in the pool.
