If I had to guess I'd say they have the other three ready to go on Blu Ray already. Lucas isn't one to release one without all of 'em on each format.

Wolvinator, how little you know of George Lucas.

Knowing the way George works here's how I see the releases unfolding. First Indy 4 on bluray. Then you will see a 5-pack (4 movies and a bonus disc) bluray edition released later on, followed by some ultimate/collector's edition with some bonus footage, toys, and whatever tie-ins they can think of.

He's the king of reselling the same product multiple times and getting huge sales out of it everytime. Don't forget he also likes to tie in his releases with the release of some Star Wars or Indiana Jones video game.

He has failed on the Star Wars DVDs...a great special edition 4-dvd pack...then the 3-pack...then the single editions with the 'original unaltered' versions...it has been lame releases, really...as for Indy, just one great 4-dvd pack (like SW) and then the special single editions with at least new features...

And agreed on the ants and saucer...but, Best Buy is showing this:

Oops, sorry, I was just joking about the ants and saucer. It just came to my head and I thought it was funny. I was thinking it would be real funny if the ants were alive.

That millions of people eat up.

I wouldn't even consider them lame to be honest. The SE boxset was a fantastic release.

Wasn't the release of the original theatrical versions of the films a service to the crying die hards?

Absolutely. I'm happy with the SE DVD's. The restore job they did on the original trilogy was fantastic. I don't need the newer DVD set with the unaltered O.T.

I'm curious to see how much they charge for the box set of all 6 movies on bluray. It's gonna be quite the dent in the wallet.
