[quote]Concorde was better - it barely (if indeed did) recover its development and running costs. It doesn't fly today and nothing has replaced it.[quote]

concorde was replaced by computers, it was never made for families to fly to a holiday

it was so buisness people could get all over the world and skip timezones

with the advent of laptop computers, buisness men and women could do international buisness in real time without having to hop on concorde

Sounds like a Sony product!

I'm going to have my own Blu Ray Surge this weekend. Wife and daughter are going to LV to celebrtate our 40th anniversary (not me, I hate that place)so I am going to buy a few BDs and enjoy myself loudly. And with many beers. Life is good!

I can't believe your wife isn't making you go. I know I would have to if it were my 40th anniversary. But I still have 39.5 years to go for that.

Exactly my point
Concorde was not replaced by another "better" plane it was replaced by a 'virtual' business man. Not as good as in person - but nearly and gets the job done more conveniently.

Likewise DVD will not be replaced by another "better" disc it will be replaced by a 'Virtual' media such as VOD or digital download. Not the same as physical media - but nearly and gets the job done more conveniently.

Good call.

LV in the summer is pure torcher. I went last year about this time for a week and the average temp was 110 degrees F without the humidity. Desert dry heat sucks I don't know how Tim stands it.

Actually, it is monsoon season from July through half of September, so we do get the humidity. It does suck but you just learn to run from one air-conditioner to the next. Really, worst part of the day is getting in the car to go home, other than that I really don't notice the heat all that much. I will say, I'll take 110 temps over below zero temps any day of the week.

Cinram, should consider adding HD DVD/CH DVD lines due to the export demand to China.
