Please take this with A LOT of salt, but I was told that the WB is preping the Nolan's original cut of The Dark Knight for theatrical release later this year or early next year. No word on what the footage is, but the running time is about 3:10. The WB thinks they can make a serious run at $600 million domestic Titanic brought in. It also sounds a DVD double dip is in the works. Like I said, please take this with A LOT of salt.

Sounds a lot like the Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair deal to me. I'll take it with a slight grain of salt. However that would be fnckin' awesome.

It would make sense, and would be very happy if this happened it might be able to smooth the bumps it already has...

And very smart for WB indeed. Again, I think it will do $575 million domestically, since this past weekend it did $26 million for a total of $441...somebody is getting a hefty royalties check!

UGH! I hope this isn't true!

I want the director's cut (on Blu-Ray) within 6 months. Anyways are folks really going to want to sit in a theater for 3 plus hours?

WB...Just release it on DVD/BLU for the holidays, and don't short change us for the extras!

Well I remember sitting through that third LOTR movie in the theater and couldn't wait for it to end so I could take a leak!

LOTR: Return of the King was around 3.5 hours if I remember correctly. It was a good movie for sure, you just can't drink a whole large pop at the beginning. :p

If this Dark Knight rumour is true I won't be seeing it. The current versions is long enough for me and I liked it as it is. If they want to release an extended edition they should just do it on DVD/bluray in my opinion.
