If people can't afford that, then they obviously can't afford a $1000 HDTV.

Why aren't there posts complaining about the high prices of HDTVs?

I am so sick and tired of these damn high prices on HDTV's! They really need to drop the prices on these sets if they really want the rest of the world to enjoy hi-def! It's nothing but greed and I'm sick of it!

"I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!!!"

Agreed, even if you are just joking. But the business world is made of greed(ie. State Farm Insurance of FL looking to raise house insurance by 47 percent) so what's new. Sony are the most greedy bastards I've ever seen in the mainstream electronics though. The actual high quality they once had that made their prices palatable has been long gone.

Jeez how cheap do people want HDTV's? When 1080i plasmas first came out they were ten grand.

1080i/p, I don't care what type or model! They should all be under a grand and that would surely make the hi-def movement explode!
