So the XBOX 360 60GB version is $350. Add $0 to that equation, and you get DOUBLE the hard drive space, PLUS 2 games! Not to mention the motherboard and cpu/gpu specs FREE OF RROD. A NO BRAINER DEAL! The Holiday trend haven't arrived yet & Microsoft is already throwing a BLITZ of GOOD DEALS! Or in this case- dell.com. If you can't wait anymore & want THE BEST ONLINE GAMING CONSOLE (not to mention flawless multimedia capabilities... except Blu-Ray of course), now's the time to give in AND PLAY OUT OF THE BOX.
You get $100 off after you include this coupon code to your shopping cart- V8Q199$GCXJWL$ See link below.

I don't have a link but on several video game forums I have seen people speaking of getting the RROD on their elite.

The elite only had one of the chips updated I think. Also, it didn't have the newest motherboard.

Microsoft: Xbox 360 Stomps PS3 in U.K.

Over the last two weeks, sales of the Xbox 360 in the United Kingdom have skyrocketed, beating the PlayStation 3 by a 2:1 ratio, if you believe Microsoft's official claims.

The sudden surge in sales is no doubt directly linked to the price drop the Xbox 360 saw only two weeks back, bringing the relative pricing scheme for the console more in line with the discounted prices Microsoft has been offering American gamers.

Despite offering figures from analyst firm Chart Track, that showed a recent 214 percent sales boost in the U.K., Microsoft refused to explicitly detail exactly how many units the console has actually moved.

I read somewhere that the xbox doesn't have the Jasper motherboard yet and it would be safer to wait till December to buy it knowing it will have it by then. Anyone know the official word on that?

According to JOEyGadget Blog Jasper motherboards are indeed starting to show.

Quote:
The key things to look for when buying a new Xbox 360 with the Jasper chipset is a manufacturing date (MFR) as early as 2008-08-06, Lot 8031 and up, and Team CSON. (You may have to bribe your local GameSpot salesperson to poke his or her finger through the serial number window of 360 box to inspect the manufacturing date.)

I'm amazed that XBOX 360's are still experiencing the Red Rings of Death.

You would think they would have fixed this issue by now.
