Here is a post in the "Do I really need that?" department.

What I'm talking about is the "Amazon.com Exclusive Lancer" and when you talk about "Gears" the first thing that should pop into your head is chainsaw noises.

If you pre-order it you can get the second game in the series for free. However, I think I will stick with the game. At least for now... I'm a grown up.. Right?

If my son didn't have a 360 already this game would be the reason why I would get one.

For me it is Forza Motorsport 2. I can't help it. The best race game I have ever played (Driven!)

I have Gran Turismo 5 Prologue but it just don't come close to the feel of driving in Forza. Also, they don't have any Porsche cars in the game. How can you make a racing game without Porsche.

Still looking forward to the full game of Gran Turismo though!

Henning, what made GT so great was the fact that you could chose different model years of cars. I remember modifying a 1988 Toyota Supra, The RX7 and many other cars. My alltime favorite driving game was Need for Speed on the Sega Saturn.

Okay... If it didn't have the blood pre-painted on it and if it shot Airsoft BB's then I'd totally be in... but no. I don't need to spend 130 dollars on Gears of War 2.

I didn't know Henning was a Gears of War player... heck, I didn't even know he plays console games. As for the xbox 360, I finally bit the bullet & used my $200 blockbuster credit & used it for the xbox 360 60gb version. I couldn't be happier with the purchase due to its multimedia flexibility, but I'm still "feeling my way" through this console gaming bit.

I have Gears of War & I will go as far as buying Gears of War 2. As for that $5 plastic, selling for over $100... yeah, that's STAYING on retail shelves.

Henning have you tried Grid? Different Experience from Forza 2 (which I love) but a lot of fun. I can't wait for Gears of War 2, the first Gears of War was the game that made me say "so that's what next gen games should look like." This one looks even better and the added play mechanics like Chainsaw duels look like a lot of fun.

I had Grand Tourismo 5 Prologue for the PS3 and I tried to like it but no luck. I didn't like that you couldn't just jump into one of the fast cars and race. You had to start with crappy cars and work your way up to faster cars. At least I couldn't figure out a way to race the good cars.

I ended up trading it for Metal Gear Solid 4, tried it once and got rid of it too. Holy cut scenes Batman. What a turnoff and I was checking out craigslist and people are trading this game for the same reasons it seems.

Traded MGS4 for Devil May Cry 4. Meh. At least I'm playing this game more than the others. I seriously can't wait for Star Wars: Force Unleashed and Socom. I'm also going to try G.R.I.D. at some point cause that looks good.

And Henning, that useless oversized toy gun is..well...useless.

Better spend that money on movies and games instead.
