oops, the topic is suppose to be Underworld
wow...i just saw this movie tonite...
and i gotta say, i was also scared the movie would suck due to more negative reviews that i read than positive ones...
but no fear!!!
THE MOVIE KICKED ASS!
damn good.
damn...i want the DVD now!
i'm so happy with the movie and my expectations were pretty high. i havent seen a movie that i've really really liked in a long time, until now, until Underworld.
let me just say, the set design is gorgeous. everything about the way the movie was shot, is beautiful, the colors, the lighting, the action, the panning and scenes. amazing!
definitely should be up for an award in set/costumes.
and whoa! the special effects are awesome too. i love the way the lycans change into werewolves, very smooth and cool. it looks very real!
i'm so glad this movie is rated R because that means there is alot of violence and alot of gruesomeness. definitely rocked! i can see lots of goths and horror and thriller-movie watchers going to see this.
perfect movie for a dark weekend night.
wow, kate beckinsale blew me away, she's very thin and limber i guess? and very cool with her british accent. not the typical super-heroine type, she does make the role her own.
and scott speedman, wow...he's great in it too. he's always been good emotionally [like on Felicity] and very fit.
gotta say, the whole plot worked very well, alot more intricate than i thought, and it's a good thing. everything makes sense. love the characters, and the storylines with vampires and lycans, and the whole romeo and juliet thing.
the whole R and J thing isnt played out corny or anything, it's a perfect blend of a look there, a stare there, etc. very delicate, very nice.
yeah so there were some moments in which reminded me of Matrix and even T3, but who cares...the whole basic story is original and well, nothing in the world is really original anymore.
i'm just happy about the movie being good. it's a fun movie to watch. the action, which there is alot of, is very cool and fun! the best scenes? of course, at the end...
awesome.

Is there CGI photography in this, too? Because I agree with Tarantino and am bored to tears with all this CGI stuff.

The CGI I saw in the trailer did not look very convincing, especially the werewolves climbing the walls. Looked like a video game.

Looks like "The Matrix" meets "Blade" to me.

My god this movie was bad. The guy that played craven was such a bad actor, and the story wasn't pieced together well. Also, the music that was almost constantly in the background, especially for parts where it wasn't really needed, did not add any tension what-so-ever. The hype really pulled me in but now having seen it I think I'll pass on the DVD and sequel.
