Quote:rich, I've seen Donner's Cut, but I feel that Superman II is the best since it was conceived by two very different directors, who gave two different inputs. I like Donner's Cut, but the theatrical is just, again, the best superhero movie.

Wow...Now I see why you like returns so much.

Why is it bad to like Superman Returns and not TDK? Both have faults, now I decide NOT to overlook them, and you decide to overlook them...I'm unbiased, you are not...

All three, Superman II, Spiderman 2 and TDK are very alike movies in which the superhero decides to abandon his hero persona...I consider Supes and Spidey to have the most and best action, and Supes to have the most realistic storyline, in comic terms I mean...

Superman II has everything, it's dark, it has comedy, it has lots of action, it has bad guys kicking Kal-El's butt, you assume the superhero actually had sex (a first for any superhero movie with a PG or PG-13 rating, in the 80s), and you have what has to be one of the most ludicrous endings ever, with the amnesia kiss...again, I love the way Lester was able to incorporate the best of Donner and add the comic relief that the movie so much needed...regardless of visual special effects, the movie is just great...

Look, I can speak like quoting fact too: The Dark Knight is the best superhero movie with the most and best action and realistic storyline. It has flaws. I'm unbiased, yet still speaking the truth.

In my opinion, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are one of the best, if not THE best movies made so far from a comic book character.

Iron Man is up there also as was Superman. I also thought Superman Returns was good, not great, but it had its up and downs. They shouldn't have done the Lex Luthor thing though. They should have made him come back to Earth because there was something big and unnatural threatening Earth. Or something to that effect.

Still, I thought Brandon Routh played both roles, Superman and Clarke Kent, perfectly. Honestly, there's very few actors at this moment that would have played BOTH characters as well as he did. I know I'm probably in the minority but that is MY opinion.

Routh was great as superman and kent, its too bad hes gonna get screwed by the horrible story of Returns, he could have been supes for years to come.

There is nothing wrong with liking bad movies. I like all kinds of bad movies. I loved Fantastic Four 2 for example, most don't but I don't get my panties in a bunch when others say they don't like it.

Richiro, I FINALLY saw the whole movie (Fantastic Four 2) this week after about 5 attempts. Anyway I liked it too which surprised me considering all the bad reviews.

I thought it was on par with the X Men movies, not that great but not that bad either.

Quote: he actually aged Superman, the story moves on, the story continues...

Which is kind of funny because Routh looks much younger than Reeve.

There are many flaws with TDK, which make Begins the best of the two...again, I couldn't, and still can't overlook its many flaws...I do wish they release the extended cut, and then I'm sure I'll love this film the way most of you (the world) do...again, it is a flawed movie.

On the other hand, Iron Man is not as nearly flawed as TDK, and more enjoyable.

Back with SR, you decide to overlook how the story actually moves on, the same way you overlook TDK's many flaws...fair enough...I do still think that a reboot would be the worst thing WB could do again, remember X1 and X2...
