Yes, bizarre. "Almost Famous" and "Anchorman" in the same breath as "Apocalypse Now" and the Hitchcock Collection? Well, everybody's top 100 anything is as valid as anybody's else's. And, of course, when you're a commerical Web site selling discs, as DVD Empire is, I'm surprised they didn't list the top 10,000 must-have DVDs.

Hey Tim. Oh, I liked the movie, just didn't think it belongs in the "Top 10" of a must-own DVD list.

The funniest thing I remember about Anchorman was that surprising news anchors "rumble" sequence, featuring a cameo from comic genius Ben Stiller. That segment is a riot.

I don't like how they add collections. Especially in the top 5. It would have been hilarious (to me) if they put Clerks at number 37.

Also the fact that Speed is on there... but not Dirty Harry (either the Collection or just the first) makes me a sad panda.

Geez, I own 1500+ DVDs but only have 18 of the must have 100. I better get working on it.

John, I think it's Empire Magazine, not DVD Empire...unless they are the same thing.
