Considering this is a slightly "old" movie now, I was really impressed with the transfer. This was a "must buy" for me, if it was even incrementally better than the DVD I already own. But it's MUCH better on my projector. Zero EE artifacts are evident, although I suspect some DNR applied due to its super clean (for the most part) presentation and softness in some scenes. Strangely, facial and fabric details were more evident when they weren't closeups... which is unusual (and not mentioned by any reviewer). Although not a reference transfer, I must congratulate Warner on improving the presentation of a film I actually like and was looking forward to upgrading. Definitely recommended if you're a fan of the film.

My favorite film of the teenage vampire genre (and don't attack me for this) is Fright Night. Gosh I hope they release that one soon, and do at least as good a job as "The Lost Boys". Fright Night has been one of my guilty pleasure films for so long now... regardless if so many people think it's stupid. Way better than "The Lost Boys" IMO entertainment wise.

I'll have to bump both of them up on my Netflix Queue.
