I really liked last years album so I'll give this one a listen.
How do you think it compares to With Teeth and Year Zero?

Sounds like "Nine Inch Nails" is taking the same route "Radiohead" did back in November 2007. "Radiohead" did the same thing with their "In Rainbows" CD. It was free to download, but you could also pay for it if you had the heart too. By late January, "Radiohead" put the CD on sale in local retail markets. In the end, it ended up being a huge success, even if it was in some way flipping the bird to the record label. True, their record label was not too keen on the idea, but the boys in the band did it anyway and it ended up making them millions -- of course their loyal fans paid about $20 on the average for the download out of generosity, but the idea of "free" drew a lot of new fans to the band. It would appear NIN is trying the same thing. Hope it works for them.

This is a little bit different Tim..Reznor (or nin)..isn't asking for ANYTHING! F.R.E.E.!
BTW.- I love "In Rainbows". I took it for free when it first came out, but bought it at retail when it was released on CD. Certainly their best work since "Ok Computer" IMO.

Yes, I love it, too. It's very reserved and mellow, but Radiohead is like Pink Floyd with that style as they're masters at it. It's a great CD for kicking back under some really decent headphones.

This is Tim's vision, listening to it for the first time, kicking back with some err... really great head phones:

That's the only way you should listen to "Radiohead" AND "Pink Floyd" . . . which yes, includes what you have in that picture, Skyhawk.
