Ok, a while back I talked about my HD-A30 becoming bricked from the 3.0 firmware update. It's of course within the year warranty as it hasn't been out that long. Instead of sending me a refurb player they sent a brand new one in box with the movies and everything. It was wrapped perfectly like new, no fingerprints whatsoever and the box had original tape on it, so definitely new. Also, original firmware. Not only that but everytime I talked to them on the phone they were very pleasant and didn't act like it was my fault at all. I've dealt with them before on another piece of equipment which also went well. I'd say they are really trying to have a good image.

Some other companies I've dealt with act like it's not their fault at all and argue before taking care of a problem so it's refreshing to see one do the right thing.

I talked to them before as well as they were very nice. And spoke english, unlike linksus or what every they are called who had no idea what english was. I only with I called them about the problem fast forwarding my A-30. I didn't though because I am lazy, so now I have just learned to live with it.

Yeah KungFu,

I was surprised they all sounded like they were based in English Speaking areas. I also noticed that the Toshiba website has vastly improved over the years.

Wolvinator, I couldn't be happier for you. Now if you have a spare machine I would recommend putting the new one up.

P.S. Since HD-DVD is no longer with us, leave the updates alone.

Companies have realized that good customer service helps generate better sales and dedicated repeat buyers recommend their products to friends and family.

I dealt with AT&T yesterday regarding a failed Blackberry. The replacement arrived TODAY at no charge. Now that's service!

Yea they ROCK alright, hell they should give all of us who bought into HD DVD, a firmware that upgrades our current HD DVD players to their new OVERBLOATED upscale DVD players.

Yes they do make a good product, but they are WHACK!!! LOL
