I love a good chase scene, especially one that's got great music and sound effects whizzing by, even ones without music, that set the tone of the action at hand....
Ronin (Peugeot and BMW 7 series)
The Bourne Identity (the old-school Mini)
Bullit (McQueen's Mustang)
anyone else care to share?? :p

"The Matrix"? Well, if we're going to go with fantasy, how about the speeder-bike chase through the redwoods in "Jedi"?

Thanks guys, all of the movies you mentioned, save for Cellular, I've seen, and they all have great chases, especially Matrix Reloaded, and The Transporter!! The only problem I had with Bourne Supremacy, and not just the chase scene, but the whole movie, is the shaky camera technique. The movie was great, but I left the theatres a bit dizzy :o
How about the scene with the motorcycle in Paycheck...not too shabby!

cellular was pretty good, and that whole movie was a chase, in cars most of the time.

John,

I saw "Bourne 2" in theatres twice. Both times, I could sense the audience letting out big sighs of relief at the end of that car chase in Moscow. The only other times I felt that collective release of tension were after the two big battles in "Saving Private Ryan".

"Bullitt" still rules.
I was a little disappointed in the chase scenes in the new "Bourne Supremacy"; they seemed a little more noisy and busy than exciting. I love the car chases in "Ronin," probably second only to "Bullitt." The car chase under the elevated train in "The French Connection" is pretty good, too, done by the same guy who had done "Bullitt" earlier. And the little Mini's going in all directions in the remake of "The Italian Job" were fun.
