I just got a chance to see The French Connection again this past week, and although I didn't like it when I first saw it last year or so, I loved it the second time around. I think I payed more attention to it, especially the car chase, which was supposed to have topped Bullitt's. It was pretty cool to see a car vs. a train, and upon looking at the trivia on imdb.com, it says that one of the accidents was not planned, and was kept in for the realism. That's pretty damn cool, compared to all the specific planning and stuntwork and sometimes CGI that goes into today's chases....not all, but some. I was impressed....all over again!
