I hope we can have this thread as a way to get to know what everybody else on this site is buying, and to comment on it...that said, you post when you buy a new DVD, HD DVD or blu-ray, with info of where and how much you spent (optional), and we'll comment on it, whether we liked the transfer, the audio tracks, the special features, you know, those kind of things. Of course, I'll start with it:
-The Office S4 Best Buy exclusive boxset (includes S4 DVD, a shirt, a water bottle, and one of those rubber wristbands, this one is a gray one that says "SUPPORT THE RABID")

Note: Like said before, I'm a sucker for this Office boxsets (have the previous ones too), good thing (and odd) is that they weren't sold out as the last ones...

Nice thread idea!
Let's see: picked up Aviator (BD) on Sunday and (1) Transformers, (2) Next Avengers and (3) Iron Man on BD yesterday for me grabbed S4 of the The Office for my coworker and the newest Charlie Brown thing should be waiting at home for the BF today.
Total? I don't even wanna think about it.

I bought some new sunglasses at Wal-mart for 15 bucks. I like them more than my other pair that cost 200 bucks. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

I have busted three pair of sunglasses in the last two months. THREE! One pair I've had forever and ever (the one I'm trying to replace) is still going strong. Go figure.

I had these I purchased from Hot Topic:

They broke now and I need to get another pair. It's difficult doing Elvis impersonations without the sunglasses.
"Thanks ya . . . thank ya vera' much"

Tim,
Don't you get little red circles on the side of your head from the sun down your way? Or are you not as Casper-y as I am?

We just picked up The Nightmare Before Christmas (BD). The kids loved it, it was their first time seeing it. Its been a while for me to and I must say it looks beautiful.
That being said, BD movies have been a little difficult to come by since we just started paying our mortgage (we had a 2 month reprieve in between moving out of the apartment into the house ..). Sure was nice when we had no rent or mortgage ..
I need to take advantage of Amazon and other discount places. Paying retail for those suckers sucks. I get to anxious though and end up feeding Target, Walmart (and with a shreek Borders).
Transformers is on the list, but it'll have to wait until next pay period.

Normally I buy my Blu-rays off eBay to save $15 or so a pop. However, I pre-ordered "Iron Man" and "Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull" because they are exclusive steelbook editions only available here in Canada. They tend to become collector's items.
I also just purchased "Lost Boys: the Tribe" on Blu-ray and it has the worst PQ I've ever encountered. Expect a review from me in the next day or two.

How is the Nightmare Before Christmas? Is it like Ratatouille were people comment that it looks almost 3D?
Oh, and have you given a thought to Netflix?
