Last Saturday, I picked up from BB's $9.99 movies:

-Doctor Zhivago
-Dog Day Afternoon
-Se7en (which is really good)
-The Shawshank Redemption

Tomorrow, I plan on buying Target's edition of the Iron Man blu-ray, which has an Iron Man shaped mask case for the discs...

I'm doing Iron Man on BD tomorrow. Still trying to figure out if I'm waiting on Sports Night for me and one for my sister or not. Maybe a better price will come down the road closer to Christmas.

The insignia is ugly i think. and Magnavox is more like a real brand.

actually, reaggie and i are the ones with the funai clones.

right now, the insignia at best buy is cheaper than the magnavox at wal-mart, though they're basically identical (the insignia also has an optical out for audio in addition to the analog out that the magnavox has).

I guess I'll get the Insignia...I have a $20 gift card from Reward Zone it will be put to good use...and I think that optical output is a good selling point, at least for me right now...ironically, our first ever DVD player (which my younger brother bought in 2002 I think) was a cheap one also from BB...go figure...

EDIT: And it has a 4.4/5 score, not bad...

I just ordered the Iron Man and 5th Element BDs on Amazon. They'll arrive on the 2nd so it looks like I'll have a busy weekend with probably half the neighborhood teenagers (and a few parents)! I also just noticed the ad for that Ray Harryhausen BD gift set. I saw all of those in the local downtown theater (which alas, is now a CVS) when I was a kid. Santa needs to start saving.
