That report brings a smile to my face

I am sorry for those that bought them though.

When will people see that Sony no longer has quality control.

They used to have very nice products and I bought them. But when they started building crap and selling at premium prices I dropped them.

What else is new. Laptops blowing up, $2000 Blu-Ray players, failed formats, could we expect any less.

I totally agree Wolv. I stopped buying Sony a few years back except when I got the PS3 and the only reason I did that was because it was the cheapest bluray player available at the time plus it plays lots of other media. To be honest, it's still a good buy for what it does and is the only Sony product I would recommend at this time.

Recalling nearly half a million computers can't be great for the bottom line. I'm surprised SNE stock hasn't slipped more than it has in recent days. Course, it's down 32% so far this year anyway. Considering what happened to Dell, Apple, and Toshiba, etc. 2 years ago, you'ld think Sony would have addressed these battery problems by now.

Yeah, Falcon. Even though I'm not a Playstation fan, it does seem to be the only product they make that's worth the purchase price.

Quote:
A Sony source, who did not wish to be named, admitted that the firm had known about the problem since last August and could have acted more quickly.

Does that mean 5 days ago or 12 months ago?

Since they are liars like Microsoft, probably before they even sold the product they knew, lol.
