Does anyone else wish they picked a new actor for the part. He's a good actor but I never liked him as a tough guy. I mean, if I saw him on the street and he wanted to pick a fight with me I'd actually laugh. Sure, the movies make kagillions but 50 MILLION. That boy is OVERPAYED. I know what some will tell me "But wolvy, spiderman is supposed to be a whimpy guy who gets powers". He's too much of a wimp.

Look how stupid the studio is. They could have had me do them for a million each.

You'd probably be better Taco
Don't get me wrong, I like the movies because they are well made. I just don't like the lead stars for those parts. Tobey should be a hobbit or something.

I do think he'll make a good job at Robotech (a cartoon I prefer over Transformers)...he is getting paid $25 mill for each, which is not bad...for him...

You have to remember, these movies are based off of Stan Lee's original Spider Man comic books, in which "Peter Parker" is, was, and to some extent, will always be, a NERD, not a "Vin Diesel" type.
He's not supposed to be a "tough guy". Peter Parker was the awkward nerd that got bitten by a radio active spider, and ATTAINED, superhuman abilities and strength. He's not Superman, he's not Batman, he's mild mannered photographer, Peter Parker, that holds his grandmothers view of him in high regard. He's supposed to have that "mama's boy" look to him. He's always been described and drawn to look strong, but, long and lanky, not like a walking tank, like the Hulk.
Besides, why would you want another "cloned" tough guy in a different suit? It's the differences in these films (even if they're in the same genre) that make them interesting and retain longevity and interest. If they made the same story over and over, only changing minor details about the character, and always played by the same body-typed actor, I think most people would have lost interest a long, LONG time ago.

Well, for me number 3 did not make me want to come back for 4 or even 5.
Not much in character development and not that good action. Sorry.
