DVD Town readers will once again be able to see the by-line of Yunda Eddie Feng on-site. Though he will continue to operate his own Web site, Eddie is returning to DVD TOWN to cover Blu-ray releases of Criterion and Genius-Weinstein titles. You'll start seeing is reviews in October. And needless to say, we're happy to have him.

Welcome back, Eddie!

OK, so what's the over/under on when he quits again? I say three months.

Hey there... now this news is almost as exciting as when we witnessed Eddie finally embracing the Blu-ray format some months back!

Hey Jim, I also think he should consider covering BDs from some of those less-known types (Peace Arch Entertainment? and similar indepdenents), as there are titles I've noticed he's reviewed on his blogsite that were the first time I'd ever heard of them.

Eddie's reviews will be yet another asset for DVDTOWN readers! How about providing some theatrical reviews too, Eddie?

Eddie... you're the one with writing talent (not me). DVDTOWN is blessed to have so many excellent reviewers on the staff. But maybe sometime in the future (maybe) I could contribute a review on a music disc... (maybe). But I'm not in any hurry. And Jim usually reviews music discs anyway.

Hey, just think... now you and Chris get to divide the Criterion titles among yourselves. I (and others) have been helping Chris with the Criterion database entries, and every month now I look ahead and see which need to be added... and Criterion has many BDs coming soon from the back catalog.

joe,

criterion's reps still don't know how blu-ray screeners will be handled, so at the moment, i'm only hoping for "the last emperor" and "chungking express".

as for handling more than genius/weinstein and criterion blu-rays...i actually want to reduce the number of titles that i cover between my dvdtown.com duties and stuff for my blog.

you know, tim used to write dvd reviews, too. maybe we can get tim back on board.

"tim? tim?"
