Having grown up watching many American shows in Spanish, I find very difficult to buy them when there is no Spanish track...

mvckalel... just choose the SPANISH SUBTITLES option on discs that don't offer a dubbed track. It's easy to watch with subtitles (as many of have done, especially with foreign-language movies). Not every title offers a dubbed track in the language you prefer (or even subtitles), but The Munsters -does- include Spanish subtitles.

I won't watch dubbed anything. I always watch with subs voice actors are never as good as the real actors.

No Hendrix, what I meant was that I grew up listening to the Spanish dubs, that it is a letdown for me (and everyone who has another language as their first language) for this releases in the US not having these tracks, it's not like I don't understand English, is just, well, call it nostalgia, maybe, I just miss them I think many of them were really well done, that they deserve to be there. Sometimes their R4 counterparts won't even have them either...

Many times you might be right, but many you would be wrong. Simpsons in Spanish (Mexico) for example, is a great dub that easily wins over the American version (the original Spanish cast, that is).

mvckalel,

Interesting. My wife is from Costa Rica and grew up watching all the old shows in Spanish. Now that she's fluent in English, she swears that they are better/funnier in English.

Well, that is a different thing. First, I was talking about the quality of the actors doing the dubs, which tend to be really good, and I cited the original dub cast for the Simpsons in Mexican Spanish.

However, remember that things get lost in translation, and yes, many things that you didn't get when you were watching them in Spanish, you now get when you watch them on English, you would be surprised, and I would agree with what your wife said.

Again, it might be nostalgia, but I do think that if there is a Spanish dub for a show, it should be included in the DVD/b-r release. Also, the first time I saw Desperate Housewives, was in Mexican Spanish, and I got so used to that dub, that when I bought the DVDs here in the US and they didn't have that dub, I was disappointed, however, it wasn't difficult to adapt to the English track, because again, things make more sense and sound natural. The sad thing is that when they released the third season, it had a Spanish dub with American actors, not the ones for Mexican Spanish...anyways, agreed on your post...
