Has anyone tried Star Wars Force unleashed for Wii? Just wondering because I was thinking of getting it.

" the wii version shares the same story and is similiar in design to the xbox 360 and playstation3 iterations, but is largely a different game. you will start out playing as darth vader, but the objectives are altered, and the story sequences play out a little differently. THE MOTION BASED CONTROLS ARE PRECISE AND EASY TO PICK UP, but the action isn't as explosive, and the cutscene details are quite crude by comparison. if you really want to to see this game in all its glory, play it on one of the other systems. however, if the wii is your only system, this version is still worth a look."

game informer.
score. 7.75
ps3/ xbox360 score. 8.75

Thanks. The Wii is new (just got it a few days ago). The game looks good though. I am looking for some good action games to play. I think I will rent Star wars in a few days.

The controls are awesome! I think if Nintendo puts the power od the Xbox 360 or PS3 into their next console and retain the Wiimote/Nunchuck controllers they will again be on top of the console war.

I'm honestly not investing in a Star Wars game on the Wii until they release a SW game that utilizes the Wii Motion Plus.

Well that's your loss then. The control scheme used in The Force Unleashed for the Wii is 10x better than the Xbox 360 version (I have both.) Also I gaurentee any Star Wars lightsaber or any other sword based fighting game utilizing the Wii's motion plus is gonna disappoint for this reason: There will ALWAYS be percieved movement lag. It's simply not in the capabilities of the hardware to match human movement 100%. It cannot keep pace with your own hand/eye coordination. When you think about moving your hand or arm in a certain way, it happens at the speed of thought, which is comparatively WAY faster than any electronic hardware can interprete and then send to a console wirelessly to be reinterpreted yet again on screen. You will notice lag. And that alone will disappoint.

Well I just got home from the video store and the game was not in the case. I will have to go back and pick it up.

Oh man! That sucks! That's happened to me a bunch of times. Luckily for me the video store is only a few blocks up the road from my house.

Ironbull, that's a great question. I finished the game on easy level and just finished it on the next harder level on my PS3. My daughter has the Wii and we have both been curious about the Wii version. Keep us posted on how you like it, please.
