For $152 I wouldn't hesitate to buy this player but I don't want the Matrix Trilogy. We are getting close to a good straight out sale of a player.

Is this a better player than say the Insignia or the Funai????

I think that is the player we talked about in an earlier post as having 2.0 profile firmware upgrade. So, if that is true I would say this one is better than the funai.

samsung blu-ray players have choked on more discs or outright bricked more frequently than other manufacturers' players.

I agree there will be better deals. but this player is good, i have this and the panny.

no issues, and i normally rent most of the recent titles im interested in.
