I'm thinking about importing Blu-rays from America, as I read in DVD & Blu-ray Review magazine that certain companies don't region encode them. My question is, will the BD-Live features work no matter where I am in the world?

I only ask because websites that show vids in America block users outside the region from watching them (off the top of my head as an example, ABC.com). I know the BBC iPlayer does the same, stopping Americans from viewing the programmes on there.

So, will BD discs know I'm not in the US and block me? It seems a lot of BD-Live features aren't making it over here, which is very annoying. Perhaps someone out there has an imported disc in the UK and can let me know if it plays the BD-Live features over here.

Check out the news story I just posted on the PINOCCHIO BLU-RAY. This indicates that the BD-Live network bonus features will only be available in the U.S. I'm guessing that not all Blu-rays will be so restricted, but at least you know that some of them won't have all the bonus features.
