Hey DVDTOWN movie review staff and forum members, I saw a trailor for the DVD Perfume: The Story of Murder last year and I was fascinated by the trailor, I just remembered that I wanted to see this film and I looked it up on the movie review data base and it was not there. Has anyone seen this film and if so what was your opinion of it?

Well it seems that Perfume is one of those films that some love, like myself, while others hated it. The only way to know what one you are is to watch it. The reason i think some hated it is because of the ending. It does get surreal. Which is why I love it. How many period pieces get surreal. Not to mention it does in a way show you the characters madness. I'm sure the book does a better job of that, but i haven't read it yet. have it on the shelf to read just haven't gotten to it yet.

If you don't mind a surreal period piece that goes to its own tune. Not to mention a dark subject matter as he goes insane you might like it. But it seems there is no guarantee with this film.
