Ok, so I got the Samsung BD-P1500 in the mail Friday and took it out of the package in excitement. Plugged it in and ran the only BD disc I own(Iron Man). Everything checked great. One thing I noticed which seemed a bit weird was the case had no fan on it. After seeing that I figured it must not need one. Next I updated the player to be BD-Live. No problem, updated fine. Saturday my parents come over and we go to watch Iron Man but to my surprise it will not load. It just boots to blank screen. After an hour and a half of trying all kinds of fixes including cleaning the disc I find out that the BD-Live had to be turned off to make it work. Now I don't know if it's because there was no flash stick plugged into the memory port or if it's a bug but it's a problem. Anyway, while I was trying to figure it out I noticed that the bottom of the case BURNS LIKE THE SUN. Do you owners of the same machine have a super hot bottom case on yours after watching a movie as well or is this just mine. I'm trying to decide whether to send it back to amazon or just buy a usb run cooler for the bottom. I just don't trust equipment that has no coolers and run that hot. Oh, plus the front display sucks balls. You cannot read anything on the display. I might have to wait for a Panasonic player to go down in price instead of this machine.

bd-live features have sucked so far. i recommend returning the samsung and getting the sylvania-branded funai clone for 199.98 (including hdmi cable) at amazon.com.

Well the BD-Live thing on Iron man isn't isolated to Samsung Blu-ray players. I had the same issue with my PS3. Apparently Paramount underestimated their server capacity or something.

Movielover is correct, the Iron Man BD-live feature stumped my PS3 as well, but I did consent to the feature and downloaded the extra content and everything worked out fine. I've never used BD live but the extra content was a welcome experience.
