I'm primed and ready to dive into the big Blu! I am awaiting the go ahead from the wife and I am going to order a PS3 to use as a Blu-Ray player. But I am having some reservations. DeepDiscount.com is a common hangout for alot of HD-philes and it's known for having some really good sales. I went to check it out and I am not at all pleased at what I see. Prices are still way to high! This is a selection of movies that definately should not be prices as high as they are. But there it is! Some one help me out here!

My first series of aquisitions will be comic book movies. This isn't really relevent to me. But it's about pricing in general. Is this really still the state of Blu-Ray? I'd hate to order a PS3 and only be buying 2 or 3 movies a month, if that.

Those prices are CRAZY. Check Ebay and Craigslist in your area for some much better prices.

Don't forget eBay's HALF.COM website (with fixed shipping fees). I've bought many new and used discs (all formats) at some great prices.

That's cool Mike... yeah, you'll be surprised occasionally at some of the great prices of BD's offered there (new/used), especially on the over-priced Fox titles. Just click on the movies tab, put "Blu-ray" in the search box, and when the list is shown click the "price" and you'll see the lowest priced listings shown first. Then click on the actual title and check the description (of course), and seller feedback rating. Everything there is "buy it now" with a single fixed shipping fee ($2.99), unless you want to pay more for the expedited service.
