it's a very powerful film. i had some problems with things here and there, but the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. sean penn is amazing in the film, and the cast is uniformly excellent.

Glad you liked it. I dedicated a section of the column I hope to have finished and posted tomorrow... as long as nobody else dies in the next 24 hours.

well, i thought that it was kind of a weird ending at first, but then i realized that eastwood just wants to say, "life goes on".
