Funny, but I've had an Insignia 6.1 Home Theatre system for over two-years now and have never, ever had an issue since day one. It only cost $100 when I bought it, and for being as old as it is, I'd say it paid for itself very well. The SONY . . . I mean FONY I had before it gave me all kinds of grief within the first year -- after about four-years it finally took a dump. So no, in my experience with the Insignia, I wouldn't say it was junk.

View profile »ive had a ps2 since day one. i have used this as a dvd player and game console on the 4.3 sony wega, for years now...since day one. i also found an old yellow sports walkmen tape player in my parents attic that i had when i was a kid. i threw a couple double a's into, grabbed and old copy of "and justice for all" and...believe it or not.. i was rocking.

Actually, it's not that far fetched. One could suggest a comparison of the Sony BD campaign to the Obama campaign and the Toshiba to the McCain. We all know how that turned out.
