Does anyone know if you can use a Microsoft Zune for the digital copy that comes on some BD movies?

nope. it's stupid. warner/new line titles are for windows media player, BUT, the zune is not MS certified even though it's a MS product! therefore, the digital copies won't work on zunes but work on third-party portable players.

stupidity in the extreme...

To be fair, I like the Zune software over iTunes (don't bash me, lol), but Zune on my Vista system tends to be slow...either ways, Zune not being Vista certified, it IS stupid Eddie...

mvckalel,

actually, ever since my sister got a zune, i have considered getting one. it does what an ipod does...and it has as built-in radio, too. however, i can't use digital copies with a zune, so i'm glad that i ended up not buying one.

maybe funai will make a vista-certified portable player?

I've tried to find the usefulness of buying a $250 mp3 player for myself...I mean, other than when I ride my bike (and maybe at the gym?), I don't find time to really take advantage of a 120 GB Zune or iPod.

When I drive, I listen to radio or to my recorded CDs...when I'm at home I'm either watching TV (movies or shows)...when I use my PC I usually listen to music, but from the PC...at work it's not possible...I mean, really, what would I use one of those unless it is for backup or for long trips?

I think I'll end up with the $150 Zune for my workouts...but really, the selling point is the Zune software for me, it's just easy to use overall I find the iTunes lacking a visually appealing and visually useful interface...again, IMO...

I have an 80GB Zune. When I rip CD's I do so to the lossless WMA format. Usually that can make a CD take upwards of 150-170MB of space. That's just 80 minutes of music! But lossless audio goes wll with the pair of Sennheiser headphones I paid $180 for as well. Man, audio heaven.

I do the same, to 320 kbps, and it does take a lot of space, but again, I don't have 'spare time' or 'out of focus time' to plug in my Zune and relax...
