Does anyone else think the stats on this machine sound great? It has already dropped to $286.87

If you see sales on this please post. I'm hoping by November or December it drops to $250 or even $200.

I think we discussed this before on this forum but I can't remember the answer...does anyone know the difference between the BD35K and the BD30?

I'm assuming the BD35 is profile 2.0 so is there anything else?

I've read that it has improved picture and sound(especially sound). Also, it is 2.0 profile out of box and has a slot in front for SDHC card.

i just bought one last week. its my first blu ray player so i don't have much to compare it to, but to me its amazing! i haven't seen the upscaling on other players, but on the with the pz80u i have its pretty incredible. plus panasonic has a promo going to send away for a free copy of ratatouille and nightmare before christmas blu rays, which i was about to buy anyway.

Wait, isn't the DMP-BD35K just the newer model of the BD-30? I know the BD-50 is profile 2.0 compatible, but I don't know about the BD-35K... it doesn't sound right to me.

Here are the two players' specs from Panasonic's own Web site. Both do BD-Live. The BD55 has 7.1 analogue outs, among a few additional things.

I just checked and it's down to $250 on amazon.com. Now the question is, "Do I wait longer for the $200 mark or just get it now and enjoyr the movies I just bought from deepdiscount? Especially with the Nightmare and Rata movies that come free with it.

get it now and enjoy the movies you just bought from deepdiscount.com. $250, is actually a good price for this machine. i believe the retail is $299. i just read a review in this months issue of home theater...and they give it very high praise along with the dmp-bd55. (with the only real difference between the two being the dmp-bd55 having 7.1 analog outputs...everything else internally is the same.)

here is the conclusion to the review.
"Overall, these new panasonics represent my TOP PICKS for standalone players on the market today. They get top marks in the feature set and video performance categories. They also offer a great package at a very reasonable price point."
