Someone said that the Sylvania doesn't have optical audio out. Deal breaker for me. I love the optical connection.

It's a good gift for the parents and other family members who aren't interested in the Bluness I think.

Wolv u are correct, however after I figured out how to re-configure the sound out from the player, you really cannot tell the diffy between optical and coax. It really sounds awesome.

Tony check the threads in here, thats where I found out about the deal. But if you go to Amazon, and go to the Blu Ray dvd player page, the Sylvania should be listed on there. When you place the order it tells you about the combo special. I know the special code when ordering is AMAZONBD. When you enter that code after your order, it subtracts the 100.00 from your order.

Unfortunately, it doesn't have a USB port to plug in an external HDD to play your DivX files. That would've been awesome...

Again I must say "WHO CARES" about the over bloated overrated upscaling Toshiba Upscaling DVD player. If you did not take advantage of the Sylvania Blu Ray offer from Amazon, well you missed the best offer this year. And if you had a chance at the Magnavox player from Wally World for 128.00, good job. If not, well shame on you, but hey you can still get the upscaler that looks pretty much like your standard DVD player.

But this is just my opinion..............
