Some stores may not even make it to BLACK FRIDAY this year... Who knows, sometime early next year... they just sell online like CompUSA, & ditch the brick 'n mortar business model.

I can't think of a better chain to go the way of HD DVD. CC is an abomination in every sense of the world and I'll be eagerly waiting to see which of my local stores is going bye bye.

I actually like the CC in Spokane Valley. While I was out of town my iPod decided to freeze up on me, so while at a CC with friends I asked a clerk if he knew what to do... not knowing he decided to jump on a computer, look it up, and tell me. It was kind of cool. This is probably a minority.

I would rather see those scum bags over at best buy close 155 stores. I worked at BB for over a year a few years back and boy were they a crooked company, at least the CC near me had good service. Oh well.. I buy everything from Amazon now anyways heh

CC Closing List

Well, seems as though just about all the stores left in Michigan are toast, especially the newest one that's been open for less than 6 months.

Jason, informative

Well, both Best Buy and CC have their good and bad attributes.

My local CC has one line open to buy stuff while ten people wait in it. That's very irritating. However, they have very good dvd prices first week released.

Best Buy has high prices but their Insignia brand seems like good quality. They will charge you an arm and leg to fix your PC. I'm so glad that's what I do for a living so I don't get screwed by them.

I don't think Circuit City ever recovered from MILLIONS OF DOLLARS lost on the DIVX format (the term divx actually originated from this company...)
Serves them right for being GREEDY.

CC Investor Page

If anyone's actually interested, the CC website has the basic "bad economic times" bullshit reason for closing 155 stores.

Same goes for Arizona, Jason. The one in Queen Creek has only been running for 4-months. Oh well, I never shopped there much in the first place. Therefore, I can't say I'll miss them much, but I do feel bad for the people that will be out of work.
