Everyone knows I'm a staunch PS3 owner, but the one thing I hate about the PS3 is that alike like Blu-ray the PS3 was rushed. My point is it's now going on a 2 1/2 years later after the launch of the PS3 and no PS/Home. XBOX 360 even with a service that you have to pay for has more online users. I have no complaints about connections online with the PS3 but it's become so generic. Bottom line is HOME will never come. And the sad thing is that the most intisapated game (KZ2) for the PS3 will never take advantage of it.

Make no mistake, the PS3 is far a much better machine than the 360 and I would never buy one (since my son has one that I never play) but besides Blu-ray playback it's killing me online.

I have to agree with you there Tony, most of my online play is done on the 360 because that's where all my friends play. My one friend only has a PS3 and he's always complaining that when it comes to multiplatform games we buy 360 because we prefer the online experience.

Well, I'll let you guys know how I feel about the Beta sometime this month )

Being a Qore Subscription Holder i'll be getting beta access sometime this month.

Personally I feel that It will come... sometime by the end of the year... whether it's in the form of open beta or full on release.

Movielover, I have 3 friends with a total of 5 PS3s. No of them have 360s except for my son and we play Madden 09 (PS2 version) and NBA Live 09and NBA 2K9. I'm the only one that plays games online. To see very few players online for sports games is frustrating. But I do have Quake Wars :Enemy Territory and there are hundreds if not thousands of players. Maybe it's just me but FPS games are far more internet friendly than sprts games. The same was the case with Resistance, far more FPS gamers than sports gamers.

I think the problem with Sports games is that there is a new one every year. So players don't stay very long before moving onto the new version. Whereas FPS people will play them for a long time. My friends and I still play Halo 3 but we haven't played Madden against each other in a long time.

Also I think Sports game benefit more from the sitting together on the couch. Madden Online is fun but it's more of a blast hanging out with your buddies knocking back a few beers and having a Madden Tournament.

I believe I saw somewhere that home will be out the same day as the Xbox NXE update which is November 18th. I'm more excited about the NXE myself (use my xbox waaaaaay more for games, streaming movies from netflix in HD!!) but home looks like it could be fun

NXE comes out on the 19th.... and considering that Sony will be giving out Beta Access of Home for Qore Subscribers within the next couple weeks, I doubt that we'll see Home before the 19th or on it. Perhaps after Thanksgiving... or before christmas.

Could be. I'm a little disappointed with Sony and how they handle the Beta Access with Qore. Instead of downloading it straight from the episode you have to wait for a beta code... and with something like home, you would think that they could just include some sort of interactive code -in- the episode of Qore. Oh well... I'll just have to keep an eye on my in box these coming weeks.

Besides the RRoD, the XBOX has been Microsoft's greatest achievement of the past couple of years. It is a powerful device, with great games and the best online experience so far.

Before I bought my Funai clone, I was thinking of the PS3, but really, I don't think of the PlayStation as something worth anymore. I'm even thinking of getting another (cheaper) XBOX to hook it up to my HDTV to stream not only Netflix, but everything else on my PC.

Really, Sony will suffer thanks to blu-ray well, it's already suffering...
