In case you've been living under a rock, GEARS OF WAR 2 IS SO OUT, AND ROCKING SOLID (only on 360... oh yeah!).... you think you've played a great game, you've seen nothing yet. It's very deep, tense, immersive, and just plain fun (oh yeah, and awesome).

I am pretty much about to the last leg, and it's going somewhere BIG!

That's a shame, it seems the critics were right. Descent game but not long enough. One of the limitations of DL-DVD. If this was a PS3 exclusive....well I'll leave it alone. But congrats Microsoft on a hit to a sequel, can't wait for GOW3 on PS3.

No what I find so funny is that all the major studios that produced exclusives for the 360 have jumped ship. Epic games only has a 2 game deal with Microsoft. Gears 1 and 2. Interestingly enough, EA didn't drop $300M on BioWare and Pandemic only to let them keep working on Xbox 360 titles. No, EA very likely intends on bringing Mass Effect onto the PlayStation 3, with either a sequel, the original, or both. Epic has stated they pretty much know that GOW3 will be out on PS3 as well.

Just an FYI, the campaign is much larger in scope in comparison to Gears 1. I feel like I have been playing as long as it took me to get through one, and much much longer. Furthermore, there's a lot to do in this game in campaign, and plenty more to keep you going in MP mode...

So there you have it. GOW 2 is really sweet-ass.

Oh, real quick, Playstation has also lost exclusivity as well (think Ace Combat 6, Unreal Tournament III, and Banjo-Kazooie)

...FF13, GTA, soon to be Metal Gear.
Not to mention multi console games getting exclusive online content on the 360.
Its a better GAMING machine, there is no denying that. Without the Blu ray player I doubt I would own a ps3.

BTW Tony the biggest and longest game of the year, Fallout 3, performs much better on the 360.

The biggest handicap to the PS3 success is the fact that devs try to make it a level playing field. Proof of this will be KZ2. I like Gears 1 and hope that you 360 owners enjoy it, but all of this aside I'm just happy to find a shooter that doesn't give me motion sickness (Quake Wars: Enemy Territory).

It's a shame, in light of these impressive design elements, that the PlayStation 3 version is shockingly inferior to the others from a technical perspective. Although the Xbox 360 and PC versions display the occasional visual oddity and bland texture, these nitpicks are easy to overlook. Sadly, the jagged edges, washed-out lighting, and slightly diminished draw distance of the PS3 release aren't so easy to dismiss. We also experienced a number of visual bugs on the PS3. Character faces disappeared several times, leaving only eyeballs and hair limbs on robots went missing some character models had an odd outline around them as if they were cel-shaded and the day-to-night transition may cause odd streaks on the screen as you move the camera around. This version doesn't even offer trophies, whereas the Xbox 360 and PC versions offer Xbox Live/Windows Live achievements.

I thought this thread was about GOW 2. Someone has to hijack this thread.
