A company called FURMAN make great rack mountable peices with filters and rack lights. You can get them for around $300. Totally a nice investment for a customer theatre. You can get the prof series for hardcore enthusiasts, like blade, or regular nice stuff at cheaper than Monster Ripoff Cable. Furman is widely used in the professional audio stuff.

Thanks for suggestions. I'm actually using a 12 outlet Belkin that was around $25. I'm seeing positive reviews for the one I'm using. So I'll probably keep it and pick more up.

but reaggie..i use a monster power center. lol...why? because it was CHEAP compared to the competition, and it offers a $100,000 dollar warranty if your equipment shall fry while connected to it.

regarding the original post.
these things can be tricky. it really depends on YOUR power and whether or not it is clean or dirty. if you have alot of outages, spikes, this could be an indication of uneven voltage, which is not uncommon in residential neighborhoods or old houses/apts. i would recommend looking into something decent. a good indicator of sloppy power is the overall sound of your system. again this can be tricky due to many variables but if you hear pops, buzzing, muddy bass, or any other weird noises coming from your speakers..it COULD be because of bad power. i like line isolation along with surge protection because the jack that you are using may also be being used by other large appliances which in turn can also affect the sound of your system. this is in no way a "stupid" topic though as some claim it is, because if you think about it.. POWER is kind of important when it comes to this hobby/passion of ours. you may even think of its importance the same way you think of oil to a car. i would not hesitate to agree with reaggie or suggest what i am using which is a monster hts2600mk2.
