Apparently some people have already received their copy of The Dark knight and they seem to be complaining of major EE (Edge Enhancement) and changing aspect ratios between the IMAX scenes and the non-IMAX scenes.

Can't wait for the DVDTown review on this.

be prepared for some surprises.

1) the opening sequence has different color and framing than the "prologue" on the "batman begins" blu-ray.

2) the movie now begins in silence until the window is blown out. on the "batman begins" blu-ray and in theatres, you could hear tense music leading up to the window being blown out.

3) the imax sequences, on average, actually look worse than the rest of the movie even though 70mm imax film has higher resolution than 35mm film.

Not what I expected. And I thought it was the Blu-Ray adaptation. Some overzelous exec wants to try something new.

Are you kidding? WHY WOULD THEY CHANGE THE MOVIE?? The very first scene that everyone remembers where the camera pans toward the building with that noise/music telling you something is about to happen and they change it? That's brutal.

Changing the aspect ratio is one thing but changing the movie when it was perfectly fine is very wrong. I hope Warner didn't do this so that they can release another version in a year or so with the theatrical version.

Falcon, it gets worse. One of my favorite scenes, or forget it... I don't want to spoil it. I'm hoping that there is two watchable versions on the special edition of the movie. This kinda crap really irks me.

The BR screenshot has deep colors. The car on the right side in the BD is much darker. On the other hand, the car in the trailer appears greyish black. The policemen color in the trailer look blue.
