New poster!

I just lost all my marbles and reserved my tickets to watch the Extended Editions of Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers, and then the Return of the King.. .back to back.

I think i'll need to devise some sort of survival kit to get through this. Advil, butt pillows, hidden caches of food to avoid going broke on consessional food.

I haven't done something like this since back in 1990 when I went to see "Sit long and Prosper", the 5 Star Trek movies .. all at once.

Now comes the waiting.

Get a stadium pal, one of those bags you attach to your... ahem... privates... and that should save you a lot of pain. And forgo the extra-large soda, it will only cause you trouble.

And have a blast!

Wow Watership! On the one hand, my youthful side both applauds and wants to join you on this "9 hour tour"... but on the other hand, the scrutenizing adult in me says "couldn't you spend 9 hours doing something FAR more productive?" However, I'm still a movie buff, and I've still got a month until I'm 30, so GO FOR IT MAN!! You may want to consider pulling a "Homer" and wear a trench coat PACKED with every type of junk food known to man, as well as maybe a catheter hooked to a gallon jug, or diapers... either way I guess it "depends" ha ha. I know, bad joke. Good luck man! Myself... I'm going to be content with seeing ROTK (and ONLY ROTK) opening day.

most theatres are scheduling hour-long breaks between the movies, so you will have time to use the restroom.

i would advise against bringing your own food into the theatre, though--that is grounds for them telling you either to throw away your food or to leave the premises (unless you're at amc theatres, which is the only theatre chain that allows people to bring their own refreshments).

I wouldn't mind buying tickets for this one and actually going. I bought two tickets last year hear in San Diego at the AMC itself (something happened via internet, where we could only buy them on location) I bought them for $30.00 each and then decided to sell them on eBay. They went for $290.00!!! nice profit, huh? If they do that again this year I will definately buy them and go this time.
