Has anyone here ever purchased a projection TV bulb from www.lamps-dlp.com? They seem to have great prices, and the reviews from Google Checkout are all positive, except for 1 or 2.

If Mitsubishi wasn't so generous about replacing my DLP lamps I would've easily bought a couple from them. They even have videos of how to install the bulb in the bulb housing so you don't have to spend more money for a new housing.

They also have ones with the housing, but you'll pay extra for those. It only takes about 15 minutes to take apart your current housing and replace the bulb and reassemble, BAM your done.

IMPORTANT WARNING: When replacing the bulb either in the housing or the replacing the complete bulb with housing, NEVER touch the bulb with your bare hands always use latex gloves, the slightest touch can damage the bulb or shorten the life of the bulb. There is a company that sells bulbs and they also provide the latex glove as well.

I got the site you provided missed up, they do provide the housing in the price. What model and make is your set?

It's a Toshiba 65" DLP, model 65HM167.

I just got my PS3 today and hooked everything up, so I ordered a new bulb since this one is almost 18 months old. I don't want to be without a picture if this thing goes!

I just received the bulb yesterday. For $160-something, it came in a Toshiba box within 3 days after I ordered it. I think I ordered it Sunday night and it was at my door when the UPS guy usually makes his deliveries on Wednesday. It is, in fact, in its housing so installation should be a snap. Have never done one before!

Man! that is a good price. I wish they had HP lamps. Mine cost $360 direct from HP.

I went to buy a remote because mine has been acting up and HP wants freaking $70 for it. I went to BestBuy site and bought a Harmony 550 programmable remote for $50. Cant wait to see how that works out. It gets alot of praise from customers.

Aren't those Harmony remotes usually like $200?? Or are there different models.
