I know alot of people here weren't really fans of the dirty look of these movies and thus couldn't really get into them. I really liked them myself, both Palnet Terror AND Death Proof. Both hit Blu on the 11th. Planet Terror apperantly sports a "Scratch Free" version which I think means Mr. Rodriguez included a version that hadn't been run through the filters to make them look so dirty. I already own both on SD DVD and likely won't be buying BD versions for the reasons that if they look dirty in HD, then you probably wouldn't be able to make out a HUGE difference than if they were upscaled. But I thought i'd mention it to anyone who might be interested in the "Scratch Free" version of Planet Terror. Maybe that would give you another opportunity to check out the movie and really enjoy it this time around.

I thought "Grindhouse" was a great (although underappreciated) concept. I preferred "Planet Terror" myself, but "Death Proof" has its moments. The gritty, old film look is a nice touch and I like the scratch free option too.

According to the dates I have, though, the release is December 16. Supposedly the Weinstein rep sent me both so I should have reviews up in the next few weeks depending on how quickly they get here.
