Konami of japan just put up this add on their site today. What do you think? Confirmation of MGS4 for the 360 or something else entirely? It looks like the power button on the 360 and it does seem to have the same color...

If I had to guess, it would be something like MG Acid. Not a port of 4, and not an entirely new sequel, something on the side.

So kojima is messing with me again?! He really knows how to do mind games on people.

My money is on either MGS4 or a new MG game.

During Kojima's marketing appearance for the release of MGS4, he stressed the inability to port the game to Xbox 360, not because of processing power... but disc space (massive audio & video cut scenes).

Given the NEW XBOX 360 "experience" where a gamer can now SAVE ALL THE DISC DATA TO THE HARD DRIVE (as an option), porting MGS4 to the console doesn't sound so... incompatible, anymore.

Even if the game were to be spread across 4-5 discs (1 for each ACT), disc swapping isn't as big of an issue as most like to think. And by most, I mean Sony fans who make it sound like the most inconvenient thing to do EVER.

On the PS3, I don't think I played through an entire chapter in one sitting.

I don't even see how swapping discs would even differ from the load times MGS4 made us sit through each act.

Shocking news. Buy the console and don't swap disc.

With the latest NPD numbers it will come as no surprise if the MGS series will be taken to the XBOX 360.

For storage I could see them give people the option to either swap or install (Like many PS3 games)

Alistaire, you are correct sir!! I bet the whole install to hard drive update was to take care of the low disc storage problem. Any game the PS3 has can now be played on the 360. No biggy if you have to install a bunch of dvds. They are cheap to make so I'm sure it wont drive up the cost. It wont be often that a game this large in size comes out anyway this console generation.

Wolvi, we've all been subjected to disc-swapping since the early PC GAMES era, so I don't see any discerning issues with gamers doing the same thing with their xbox 360 console.

I'm sure, eventually, I'm gonna "outgrow" my 120gb x360 hd. Microsoft definitely knows this & will SURELY sell RETAIL HD's over 120gb very soon.... OVERPRICED FOR SURE. Once the xbox360 recognizes a larger hd (besides WD1200BEVS), I'll be there to manually upgrade mine.

Another way to grab a CHEAPER XBOX 360 w/ "elite" hard drive- Grab the following on ebay:
$150 - xbox 360 arcade (hdmi w/ 1 wireless gamepad)
$ 25 - used xbox 360 20gb hard drive
$ 65 - Western Digital Scorpio 120gb hd WD1200BEVS
$ 10 - External 2.5 inch SATA / USB enclosure
-------
$250 - Total upgrade cost (give or take $10-$20 difference in s/h. STILL MUCH CHEAPER than a $350 Elite)

** Just swap the old 20gb hd w/ your 120gb Scorpio drive & you're done. Encase the 20gb hd to the external sata/usb case & you get a bonus external drive to backup your Windows XP / VISTA OS!
