Sorry this needs it's own thread. Spoiler alert Why is The Scare Crow from Batman Begins pretending to be a good guy/vigilante in The Dark Knight near the beginning? I checked the credits from both movies and it's the same guy.

Yeah, but the effect might've not lasted on him...but he wasn't a good guy in TDK.

Well, another flaw that kills me is in "Batman Begins", Bruce Wayne tells all his "so called" friends their all a bunch of phonies, suck-ups and to leave his birthday party. However, in TDK he tells Harvey that one fund-raiser from his "friends" and he'll never need to worry about money!

Sure, I suppose we're all to assume Bruce sent out letters of apology to all his rich buddies, but it still looks like vague story telling, in my opinion.

There was no significance to his appearance other than to tie TDK to Batman Begins. And the effects of his hallucinogen aren't permanent.

Where did you see Scarecrow being a vigilante? I thought the vigilantes (fake Batmen) were trying to stop his deal going down.

Yeah Tim, that's a good point about his friends. Maybe they just realized he was so drunk at that party because the papers said something along the lines as "Drunken Billionaire Burns Home Down." I also doubt they would blacklist a billionaire in their circle, either. I mean, if they scratch his back, I'm sure he returns the favor. It's like a hoity-toity swap meet!

Well, obviously something got patched up with his buddies in Nolan's little plot hole, fantasy world.

The way I see it, any one of our buddies can get drunk and do something stupid, and then 9 times out of 10 we forgive them. Then again, none of us are billionaires and we have nothing to lose by keeping friends with our occasional drunken buddies. However, I would assume for wealthy people they may not want to be associated with a drunken guy that appears to burn his house down, since many wealthy people are constantly thrown into the public light. Kind of like the issue with Obama and his church pastor, for example.

I hear that but you know how relentless fanboys can be. What kills me is it's the only movie in recent releases that these guys will talk about. "IJ: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" came out on Blu-ray, and nobody here hardly says a word. "The Incredible Hulk" came out and it doesn't even get 1/10 the attention of TDK. Last week everyone's favorite on IMDB came out, "Shawshank Redemption" and nobody here says a single word, and Shawshank is a film that is easily far greater than TDK will ever be. But still, not one single word. Well, looks like I'll have to start posting the "broken record" picture again.

Drive us crazy with the TDK threads and I'll start going ballistic with the pictures!
